There are many tools out there for building your list and making money online, but it can seem like a jungle when you're trying to figure out how to get started. How can you know what you really need now--and what you don't? The first thing that you should do is to PICK UP A TOPIC.

Pick a topic or niche that you may want to build, a topic that you have interest in or passion about. The focus isn't to pick the best topic or the topic that will make us money but to know or learn how to do it or do it once correctly so that we can do it over and over again and repeat the process to several niches. What you can do is to follow your hobby or interest. This is important so you may sustain it throughout your learning process. So, why should you pick a hobby or interest, aside from the fact that you may want to stay away from highly-competitive market places when you just getting-started. The first reason is when you focus on something that you have passion about then you can speak to the market that your are targeting. You already know the language that they use, you can speak to them intelligently and sound more credible and you can position yourself more in authority in that area. That's because you know the problems and the solutions that people deal with. You've been there; you know what keeps people waking at night. You know their biggest problems are and their frustrations are. And by that, you have a good idea what are the solutions to those problems.

There isn't much a learning-curve here; you've probably an expert on what you do. One of the biggest mistakes people do is they undervalue the knowledge that they already have. If you've spent years studying a subject, participate in a hobby, read books about it, you are already an expert in that subject. You don't need to have a degree or be certified by some type of authority to be called an expert. You should go ahead to pick a topic, brainstorm possible niches, do some research and determine if there's a demand to you niche and then you move forward-Pick a topic that suits you best!
